An AquaFacial is a 10 minute at-home hydradermabrasion treatment that works to cleanse, exfoliate and extract impurities from your skin, whilst promoting skin renewal. The AquaFacial Kit is a happy marriage between the AquaFacial Handset and Exfoliating Cleanser. The handset applies the exfoliating cleanser to the skin, where it works its magic breaking up dead skin cells, whilst simultaneously using vortex extraction technology to remove unwanted impurities and debris from pores. 

Where do we begin? The main benefit of the AquaFacial is gentle, effective exfoliation. It can remove pore clogging materials & blackheads whilst minimising the appearance of pores. Regular AquaFacial users can experience decreased fine lines & wrinkles, as well as smoother skin texture & tone. By removing dead skin cells and impurities, this will allow your other skincare: moisturisers and serums to penetrate more effectively. That’s more bang for your buck!

All Skin Types: We have formulated our product so that it is safe and effective for all skin types. In saying this though, everyone’s skin is different and each individual’s skin status can also change. Due to this, we recommend that every user undertake skin patch testing prior to first use. Apply a small amount to a discrete area like the inner area of your upper arm, inner side of the wrist, or side of your neck. As our cleanser is a wash-off product, keep the patch on for 5 minutes before washing off. If you experience any adverse reactions to the treatment, rinse off immediately and discontinue use. Medical Conditions: For those of you who experience medical skin conditions, for example acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, vitiligo and melasma, we recommend consulting a dermatologist prior to use.

Exciting times! You’ve received your AquaFacial Kit... now what?

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, first we need a clean face so that the AquaFacial can work its magic. Next, attach the flip spout cap provided to the cleanser bottle, and carefully pour 30ml of cleanser into the right side of the handset tank. Attach your desired headpiece, hold down the power button until the handset turns on and press again until you are at your chosen suction strength. 

*** Side-note for you first-timers - we recommend the silicon headpieces and LOW setting to ease you into the treatment.

Sometimes we need a little bit of a push to help get things moving - to help move the cleanser through the internal tubing and to the headpiece, place the headpiece on the palm of your clean hand and hold down a number of times until you see the wonderful sight of glistening drops.

When using on your skin, move the headpiece across in short + quick strokes, using the larger headpiece for flat areas of the face and the smaller headpiece for those harder to get areas like around the nose. Look at all of those floaties coming through to the waste tank! Better out than left in those pores!

All done? Make sure you wash the cleanser off your now satisfyingly smooth face. Follow with your fave moisturisers, serums and SPF. Repeat the AquaFacial treatment every 2-4 weeks.

We recommend treating yourself to an AquaFacial every 2-4 weeks depending on when your skin needs it. Make sure you wash your face after the treatment and ensure you use SPF when in the sun for a number of days afterwards to protect your beautifully new skin.

After your “devote time” it is now time to devote time back into your AquaFacial handset. Let’s start off with rinsing the used headpieces with warm, soapy water. Next remove the tank from the handset and empty its contents. Again using warm, soapy water and the provided cleaning brush, scrub away residual floaties and put aside. For cleaning the handset, fill the small clear cleaning cap with warm water and attach to the head of the handset (careful not to spill the water). Hold the handset upright over your sink and turn the handset on to ‘HIGH”. Once water has fully flushed through, turn handset off and remove the cleaning cap. Finally, place everything in an open space to air dry.

During your AquaFacial treatment, a bit of tingling can be expected. After your treatment, you should expect minimal downtime. It is common for an AquaFacial treatment to cause some redness from increased circulation (a desired effect) after treatment - this should settle after a 10-15 minutes. To ensure no bruising occurs use quick, short strokes and only go over the same area twice in one treatment. Please be extra mindful of this if you are taking any blood-thinning medication.

When your AquaFacial Handset’s battery is running low, the light around the power button will change to red. To charge your device, gently attach the USB cable to the device’s charging and connect to a power source. When the device is fully charged (after approximately two hours) you may start using again.
